What is covered by the Oceoprotec© warranty ?

The Oceoprotec© coating benefits from a 5 year warranty. This warranty concerns not only the efficacy of the antifouling effect but also the integrity of the Oceoprotec© film.

The antifouling efficacity, under a scale from 1 to 4 :

The integrity of Oceoporotec©

The coating must not have the following defects :
Blistering : Damage characterized by the appearance of blisters with a diametre in the order of 0.5-1mm.

Pin hole : hemispherical bumps of 0,2 to 1 millimetre with a hole in the superior area, in a variable quantity and density. The dimension of the bump increases with the thickness of the film. A section of a bump would let appear the primer.

Chalking: A sheet disappearing by a simple rubbing of the hand.

Warranty issue :

The warranty is delivered by Oceoprotec S.A.S with a small plate with a warranty number to be stucked by the owner on his boat. Thanks to this registration the owner can attend to any Oceoprotec applicator to assert his right of warranty. It also provides him a traceability, more particularly in the case of sale.

Warranty exercise :
If a problem with the efficiency of the antifouling is established, or if there is an alteration in the coating as indicated above, the owner can exercise the Oceoprotec© warranty. In this case, Oceoprotec S.A.S and the applicator involved will re-supply the product and re-apply the coating at their own cost.
